Olde Avesbury Dinner Plate by Royal Crown Derby
One of KSW's personal favorites, the Olde Avesbury pattern comes from an original pattern book noted as 1932, housed in the Royal Crown Derby Archives. The design itself is one of the most popular and has been adapted to take on many colour combinations over the years on tableware and giftware, embellished in 22 carat gold for a more contemporary look with an elegance that never dates.
Royal Crown Derby has a long and distinguished history. The company has been manufacturing fine bone china in Derby, England since 1750.
Throughout that time, the skills of artisans and artists, passed down from generation to generation has been the key to ensuring a long tradition of excellence in design, craftsmanship and artistry.
You would be easily forgiven for believing fine bone china should be treated with the most delicate of touches, and of course, it should, however, you should take it from us that fine bone china is actually one of the most durable materials to be used for tableware - it isn't as fragile as you may think!
