Collection: The Little Market

The Little Market is a nonprofit fair trade shop dedicated to supporting economic empowerment for individuals in underserved communities locally, nationally, and globally. This collection features ethically sourced, artisan-made products. Behind each of product is a person who created it — and a story. The Little Market seeks to empower artisans around the world by extending their products’ distribution and supporting sustainable income opportunities. They are committed to upholding the dignity of artisans, celebrating their cultural techniques and traditions, and bringing attention to social justice and human rights issues faced by their communities. On an inspiring trip to Tanzania and Uganda in 2012, co-founders, Lauren Conrad and Hannah Skvarla, had the opportunity to visit organizations working with artisans and entrepreneurs. They met admirable women who were making beautiful products but lacking access to a larger platform and essential resources to exercise economic autonomy. Combining Lauren’s background in fashion and design and Hannah’s experience with nonprofits and human rights advocacy, The Little Market was born.
